Assistant Dental Practice Manager – Prosthodontic Practice

Location: North Andover, MA

Compensation: $55,000–$62,000 annually based on experience

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Dental Practice Manager to join our North Andover prosthodontic practice. This role supports the Practice Manager and clinical leadership team in overseeing the daily operations of a high-quality specialty dental office.

The ideal candidate has prior dental front office experience and a strong understanding of treatment coordination, scheduling, and insurance processes. Experience in a prosthodontic or specialty dental environment is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Practice Manager in overseeing front office operations and administrative functions
  • Greet and check in patients with professionalism and warmth
  • Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and recall systems
  • Present treatment plans, review financial estimates, and coordinate payment arrangements
  • Verify and process insurance eligibility, pre-authorizations, and claims follow-up
  • Assist with training and mentoring front office staff to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is complete and compliant
  • Collaborate with doctors, assistants, and lab partners to coordinate complex prosthodontic and restorative cases
  • Monitor daily schedules, patient flow, and KPIs to ensure smooth operations
  • Handle patient inquiries and concerns with a high level of customer service and professionalism

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of dental office experience, including prior leadership or treatment coordination responsibilities
  • Strong understanding of dental terminology, insurance, and treatment presentation
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and multitasking skills
  • Knowledge of Open Dental software is a plus
  • Organized and proactive with a commitment to exceptional patient care and operational excellence
