We are looking for a resourceful and hands-on Local Support Officer (LSO) to provide first-line IT support within our office. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of IT equipment, resolving hardware issues, assisting users on-site, and ensuring smooth coordination with the central IT team. This position is ideal for someone who is proactive, organized, and technically capable.
Key Responsibilities
🛠️ On-Site IT Support
- Provide first-level technical support to users (PCs, monitors, mouse, keyboard, connectivity, printers, etc.).
- Set up and configure workstations for new joiners.
- Assist in resolving basic hardware/software issues or escalate when necessary.
🖥️ Equipment Check & Maintenance
- Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot IT hardware (laptops, screens, cables, accessories).
- Repair or replace damaged equipment when feasible.
- Clean and reconfigure returned devices for reuse.
📦 Inventory & Logistics
- Monitor and manage the stock of IT equipment and accessories.
- Keep accurate records of incoming and outgoing hardware.
- Ensure proper asset tagging and traceability of all devices.
Candidate Profile
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar role (local IT support, helpdesk, technician).
- Comfortable handling and repairing IT hardware.
- Good knowledge of Windows operating systems and standard office tools (Office 365, Teams, Outlook).
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
- Well-organized, service-oriented, and dependable.
