Salary: $110,000–$120,000 + 15% bonus

General Purpose

The Sr. Sales/Project Manager works with key customers and leads projects for new product launches and plant planning. This role partners with teams like QA, R&D, Operations, Finance, and Logistics to keep everything on track. It’s more than just sales—this position is about managing projects, solving problems, and working across departments to support business growth.


Key Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional project teams to support customer launches, particularly for private label and food service accounts

• Drive account performance while collaborating with internal teams to align sales efforts with plant capacity, financial targets, and logistics execution

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, leading both strategic engagement and day-to-day execution

• Develop and execute account operating plans, identify gaps, and support resolution in coordination with the commercial and operations teams

• Facilitate new product development (NPD) initiatives by coordinating input from QA, Food Scientists, Operations, and R&D

• Ensure clear communication and alignment across stakeholders regarding project timelines, deliverables, risks, and resources

• Analyze pricing, margins, and plant capacity in partnership with Finance and Operations to ensure commercially viable solutions

• Track KPIs and report on sales and project performance metrics

• Coach and support the internal sales team on best practices for project-based customer engagement

• Oversee AR reports and credit compliance to ensure timely and accurate customer payments


Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, food science, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• 8+ years of progressive sales, project management, or commercial operations experience in the food and beverage industry

• At least 1 year of experience leading cross-functional teams or managing new product development projects

• Experience working closely with QA, Operations, R&D, Finance, and Logistics teams

• Familiarity with plant operations, pricing models, margin analysis, and capacity planning

• Strong interpersonal and project management skills

• Background in private label or food service manufacturing environments preferred
