HiFyve is hiring a CNC Programmer / Set-Up Technician in the Manufacturing industry in Plymouth, MN!

Pay Rate: $35 – $44 per hour

Shift: 1st shift 7 am - 4:30 pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Program CNC milling and multi-turret/mill-turn lathes using GibbsCAM.
• Review drawings and routings for manufacturability; communicate with engineering on changes.
• Select tooling, determine machining sequences, speeds, and feeds.
• Optimize tooling and programming on existing parts.
• Perform time/motion studies and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Support in-process inspections and ensure production standards are accurate in ERP.
• Kit, stage, and maintain tooling; maintain setup sheets for new parts or design changes.
• Set up and operate complex CNC machinery.
• Instruct and mentor less skilled operators.
• Follow all safety protocols and company core values.

Education Requirements:

• Associate degree in Machining and 5–7 years of complex CNC experience or 8–10 years equivalent experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong CNC programming skills (GibbsCAM preferred).
• Proficient in milling, turning, and multi-turret/mill-turn operations.
• Skilled in tooling, shop math, and machining process development.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Attention to detail and producing high-quality work.
• Effective communicator and team collaborator.
• Adaptable and eager to improve processes.

Preferred Experience:

• Fixture design, setup, and qualification.
• Milling, turning, and multi-turret/mill-turn machining.
• CAM programming with GibbsCAM.
