Salary: $27-$31/hr

Shift: Days (7 AM - 3:30 PM)

Location: Milwaukee, WI


Job Overview:


The Maintenance Technician is a highly skilled and versatile role responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of all production and facility equipment. The ideal candidate is a proactive troubleshooter with expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. This role is essential for maintaining a safe and productive environment through preventative and corrective maintenance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform highly diverse maintenance duties, including the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of production machinery and facility equipment.
  • Execute a wide range of highly technical skills, including welding (MIG/TIG), plumbing, and HVAC maintenance.
  • Expertly diagnose and repair problems on a variety of systems, including pneumatics, gears, pumps, mixers, and agitators.
  • Maintain and operate high-pressure steam boiler systems, and handle boiler maintenance tasks.
  • Operate and perform maintenance on a variety of equipment, including forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
  • Conduct seasonal grounds maintenance and general facility upkeep.
  • Respond to emergency and unscheduled repairs during production to minimize downtime.
  • Perform a variety of carpentry functions and assist in the installation of new equipment.
  • Ensure all work meets the codes of local jurisdictions, OSHA, and NEC.
  • Document all work in a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and use Microsoft Word and Excel to maintain accurate records.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including those for confined space entries.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven experience in a variety of maintenance disciplines, including electrical, pneumatics, plumbing, and HVAC.
  • Strong hands-on experience in welding (MIG/TIG) and general fabrication.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical components such as gears, pumps, mixers, and agitators.
  • Knowledge of maintenance procedures for high-pressure steam boiler systems.
  • Certified or experienced in the operation and repair of a variety of lifts, including forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
  • Familiarity with CMMS and standard office software (Word, Excel).


Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (a technical degree or trade certification is a plus).
