This is a full time in office role


Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inside Sales Representative to join their team. In this role, you will support sales representatives by interacting with customers, recommending appropriate solutions, preparing accurate quotes, researching products, and contributing to pricing strategies. A key part of this position includes assisting with bid-related tasks, specifically by identifying product alternatives or comparable and working on competitive pricing for bid opportunities.


Responsibilities:


Customer Support & Interaction:

  • Serve as a key point of contact for school clients, including educators, procurement officers, and facility managers.
  • Support the sales process by answering product questions, making recommendations, and promoting relevant furniture solutions.

Quote Preparation & Pricing Strategy:

  • Prepare timely and accurate quotes customized to customer specifications and budgets.
  • Analyze historical sales and customer purchasing trends to help determine strategic pricing.
  • Collaborate with sales reps and vendors to ensure quotes reflect current product availability and lead times.

Bid Support (Product Matching & Pricing):

  • Assist in bid preparation by researching and identifying alternative or comparable furniture products based on bid specifications.
  • Work on pricing strategies for bid projects, ensuring competitive and compliant pricing aligned with customer expectations.

Product Research & Solution Design:

  • Conduct in-depth product research to find the best-fit school furniture solutions.
  • Recommend durable, compliant, and cost-effective products suited for educational and public environments.
  • Offer substitutions or alternatives when required due to availability, budget, or spec requirements.

Sales Operations & Administrative Support:

  • Maintain accurate customer records, quotes, and communication in Hertz Furniture proprietary system.
  • Follow up with customers to move opportunities forward and ensure high service levels throughout the sales cycle.


Qualifications:


  • 2+ years of experience in sales support, customer service, or a related role.
  • Strong research and analytical skills for identifying product alternatives and building competitive pricing.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM platforms (Salesforce).
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with educational furniture products and suppliers.
  • Experience working with bids or public sector pricing in a support capacity.
