The Director of Human Resources will lead and direct the HR strategy for our enterprise real estate management company, overseeing all aspects of human resource management to support business objectives. This senior leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in HR management within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's business goals, fostering a culture that enhances employee engagement, retention, and performance.
- Talent Management: Oversee recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes to attract top talent. Develop and implement career development programs and succession planning to ensure leadership continuity and employee growth.
- Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, addressing inquiries, grievances, and conflicts while promoting a positive work environment. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Compensation and Benefits: Design, review, and manage competitive compensation packages and benefits programs that align with market trends and organizational objectives.
- Performance Management: Lead the performance appraisal system, including setting performance metrics, conducting reviews, and ensuring feedback mechanisms are in place to support employee development.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills, ensuring they align with company objectives and industry standards.
- Policy Development: Update and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure they are current, effective, and compliant with legal standards.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Drive initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workforce, developing programs that support these values.
- HR Operations: Manage HR systems and processes, including payroll, HRIS, and compliance reporting. Oversee HR budget planning and management.
- Safety and Health: Work in collaboration with other departments to ensure workplace safety standards are met and to foster a culture of health and wellness.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role, preferably within the real estate or property management sector.
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in HR technologies and analytics.
- Proven ability to manage change and navigate complex organizational environments.
- Knowledgeable in labor laws and HR best practices.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.

This is a full time in person position with some travel required
