Our client is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy and operations for group of six skilled nursing facilities (SNFs). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the skilled nursing facility sector, with a proven ability to drive financial performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and support organizational growth.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management for six nursing homes.
• Prepare and present accurate financial statements, cost reports, and reimbursement analyses, ensuring compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and Department of Health (DOH) regulations.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to enhance profitability, optimize revenue cycles, and manage accounts receivable/payable.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to support strategic initiatives, including facility acquisitions and operational expansions.
• Manage banking relationships, secure financing, and ensure compliance with loan covenants and government funding requirements.
• Lead and mentor a finance team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with external auditors and accountants to ensure audit readiness and adherence to GAAP standards.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in the skilled nursing facility (SNF) industry.
• In-depth knowledge of SNF reimbursement models, cost reporting, and regulatory compliance (Medicare, Medicaid, DOH).
• Proven track record of managing multi-facility financial operations and driving revenue growth.
• Strong proficiency in financial software (e.g., Sage Intacct, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
• Exceptional leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
