HiFyve is hiring an Electrical & Instrument Engineer in the manufacturing industry in Ponca City, OK!

Salary: $70,000 ‒ $80,000 Annually

Shift: Full-time

Location: Ponca City, OK

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Improve process controls reliability and continuously enhance instrumentation and control systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation, control, and electrical system issues.
• Develop and implement plant electrical Capital and Expense projects.
• Design and develop instrumentation installation drawings, data sheets, and specifications in compliance with industry and safety standards.
• Assist in the technical development of assigned plant project P&IDs.
• Provide procurement support for instrument-related items.
• Support plant Distributed Control System (DCS) management.
• Train and assist plant I&E Technicians in maintaining instrumentation and electrical systems.
• Lead projects to upgrade plant motor control centers and power distribution systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems (motors, wiring, etc.) and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in annual Unit Turnarounds as needed.
• Maintain plant safety by developing programs to prevent accidents and ensure safe working conditions.
• Provide occasional oversight of the Maintenance Department I&E Group.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply; internship or 1 year of experience preferred.
• Familiarity with NFPA/NEC codes is a plus.
• Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
• Strong computer proficiency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High energy, team-oriented mindset with excellent work ethic.
• Project management skills and the ability to build relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
