Salary: $65,000 – $85,000/year + 5% bonus eligibility

Shift: 2-week rotating night schedule (see details below)

Location: Cass City, MI

SCHEDULE (2-WEEK ROTATING):

  • Week 1: Monday 7pm–7am | Tuesday 7pm–1am | Off Wednesday & Thursday | Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7pm–7am
  • Week 2: Monday Off | Tuesday Off | Wednesday 1am–7am & 7pm–7am | Thursday 7pm–7am | Friday, Saturday, Sunday Off


Overview

The Production Supervisor will lead and direct production employees to ensure smooth operations, efficient scheduling, compliance with safety and food quality standards, and achievement of daily production goals. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to mentor and develop a small team within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.


Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule, assign, and supervise daily work for production employees
  • Ensure product is processed accurately and production goals are met
  • Oversee equipment performance, sanitation, and timely repairs
  • Promote safe work practices and investigate/report incidents as needed
  • Enforce compliance with food safety, quality, and GMP requirements
  • Manage production scheduling to meet demand, stage materials, and control costs
  • Coach, mentor, and evaluate employees; apply fair discipline when needed
  • Maintain positive working relationships and effective communication with staff
  • Complete administrative tasks including timekeeping, promotions, transfers, and performance reviews
  • Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field preferred
  • 2–5 years of manufacturing experience (food/beverage preferred)
  • 2–5 years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience
  • Certifications/licenses may be required during employment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Understanding of manufacturing process flow and continuous improvement
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and company systems
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Initiative, accountability, and follow-through in daily operations
