HiFyve is hiring a CNC Lead Mill Machinist in the Precision Manufacturing industry in Kansas City, MO!

Salary: Up to $40/hr

Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Location: Kansas City, MO

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop programs using MasterCam for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling centers.
• Program and plan setup of CNC vertical and horizontal machines, including Fanuc-controlled 5-axis machines.
• Interpret technical drawings and create efficient, quality-driven machine paths.
• Design fixtures and develop repeatable processes to support high-precision manufacturing.
• Perform setup and inspection to verify conformance to specifications.
• Adjust programs and tooling to optimize production output and quality.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for existing parts and processes.
• Train and support machinists in programming, setup, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and perform basic maintenance.
• Communicate clearly with team members and management regarding job status, changes, and priorities.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area and uphold safety and quality standards.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Minimum 5 years of CNC programming experience with MasterCam and 5-axis milling.
• Strong background in both manual and automated machining processes.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, GD&T, and using precision measuring instruments.
• Deep knowledge of metals, plastics, and material machinability.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Solid math and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Self-motivated with a positive, problem-solving mindset.
• Available for overtime and weekend work as needed.
