Salary: $70,000–$80,000/year + 5% bonus

Shift: 7pm-7am on a 3-2-2-3 schedule

Location: Richmond, IN

Job Summary:

Join a fast-growing union facility specializing in ESL dairy and beverage products. We’re seeking a night shift Production Supervisor to lead a team of 40 and ensure safety, sanitation, and quality standards are met.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and schedule production staff to ensure daily operational goals are achieved
  • Oversee activities such as pasteurization, mixing, aseptic filling, cooling, and packaging
  • Ensure equipment is running efficiently, properly sanitized, and safe for use
  • Lead safety initiatives and ensure all team members follow proper safety procedures
  • Maintain food safety and quality standards including sanitation and HACCP compliance
  • Coordinate production runs to meet customer demand, material staging, and labor planning
  • Promote team development through coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback
  • Administer policies, work rules, and union contract provisions fairly and consistently
  • Investigate safety incidents and ensure timely reporting to HR
  • Conduct shift meetings and communicate goals and updates to the production team


Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Experience in sanitation, HACCP, or food safety programs required (especially for night shift)
  • Aseptic processing knowledge is a strong plus


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement
  • Able to lead a unionized workforce and foster a collaborative team environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and manufacturing software systems
  • Effective communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
  • Commitment to safety, food quality, and production efficiency
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
