HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Lead in the Food & Beverage industry in St. Paul, MN!
Salary: $35+/hr
Shift: 6pm - 6am Wed Thurs Fri and every other Sat
Location: St. Paul, MN
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assign daily jobs and work orders, detailing any requirements for the day and delegating/participating to successfully accomplish daily tasks.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on production, packaging, processing equipment, and utility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ensure machinery and equipment are operating efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential equipment issues.
- Collaborate with the production team to improve equipment performance.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
- Provide technical support and training to other maintenance personnel.
- Support MRO purchasing and inventory management functions.
- Anticipate parts requirements and follow proper purchasing procedures.
- Assist operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime.
- Stay up to date on new products, equipment, technology, and techniques.
- Utilize a continuous improvement mindset to identify opportunities to improve processes.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical or vocational training in maintenance-related fields is preferred.
- Certification and/or license may be required during the course of employment.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of maintenance experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer-controlled equipment, PLC, and HVAC systems.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership attributes or team leadership experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, charts, and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with lubrication, material handling, motor control, relay control, and process control systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in an industrial setting.
- Basic computer skills.
- Willingness to work rotating night shifts (6pm – 6am) and overtime as needed.
