Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design, operation, and maintenance of medium-voltage (601V–69kV) and low-voltage (≤600V) electrical distribution systems, with high-voltage (69kV–230kV) experience as a plus.
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure electrical system reliability and compliance.
- Provide technical oversight for electrical power system components, including switchgear, transformers, emergency/backup power systems, and UPS.
- Troubleshoot electrical system issues, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop electrical system master plans to support facility growth and capacity planning.
- Lead capital and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with safety codes, performance objectives, and industry standards.
- Ensure adherence to NFPA 70E, OSHA, NEC, and other regulatory electrical safety requirements.
- Perform arc flash studies, coordination studies, and load flow analysis to mitigate electrical hazards.
- Collaborate with Facilities, Maintenance, EHS, and Production teams to optimize power distribution and system performance.
- Identify and implement energy-saving initiatives to optimize power system efficiency and reduce costs.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- NFPA 70E certification required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 10+ years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
- Expertise in medium-voltage (601V–69kV) and low-voltage (≤600V) electrical distribution systems; high-voltage (69kV–230kV) experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution, emergency power systems, load flow analysis, and protective relay coordination.
- Ability to read, interpret, and develop electrical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems for tracking maintenance and work orders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Experience working with external vendors, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Proven ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and drive system reliability improvements.
