HiFyve is hiring a Plant Engineering Manager in the Food & Beverage industry in Zumbrota, MN!


Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 per year (+ 15% bonus eligibility)

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM (must be available for early/late hours and some weekends as needed)

Location: Zumbrota, MN


Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the plant’s engineering and maintenance functions, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement reliability excellence initiatives, preventative maintenance programs, and work order systems.
  • Lead capital and expense projects from initiation through completion, ensuring they meet scope, budget, and timeline requirements.
  • Establish and manage department budgets, controlling facility maintenance costs and identifying opportunities for efficiency.
  • Oversee asset management, including equipment utilization, upgrades, maintenance, and tracking using SAP.
  • Maintain compliance with all Quality Assurance, regulatory, and safety standards.
  • Manage parts inventory, purchasing, and inventory control processes.
  • Collaborate with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and plant reliability.
  • Supervise, coach, and mentor engineering and maintenance staff, ensuring accountability and professional development.
  • Serve as a key member of the plant Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) team.


Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Minimum of 6 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 1 year in a management role.
  • Experience in high-speed manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Food, dairy, or beverage industry experience highly preferred.
  • Strong capital project management experience, including front-end planning, budget approvals, and execution.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); SAP knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends as needed.
