About the role

We’re hiring a Maintenance Manager to lead day-shift operations at a high-speed dairy facility in Cedarburg, WI. In this role, you’ll oversee a skilled maintenance team, drive equipment reliability, and support automation and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership position with strong collaboration across engineering and production teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coach the maintenance team to ensure proper staffing, training, and performance.
  • Oversee maintenance of dairy processing equipment, including HVAC, boilers, pneumatics, and 480V 3-phase systems.
  • Troubleshoot and support automation systems including PLCs (Allen-Bradley platform preferred).
  • Utilize CMMS to schedule and track preventive maintenance and equipment performance metrics.
  • Implement corrective actions to drive improvements in overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in daily operations and capital projects.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and GMP compliance.
  • Support fabrication, welding, and mechanical repair efforts as needed.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement through CI tools and Management Operating Structure (MOS) strategies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or college coursework preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in food manufacturing.
  • At least 3 years in a maintenance supervisory or lead role.
  • Experience with rotary fillers, blow mold machines, pneumatics, and hydraulics preferred.
  • Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems and HTST pasteurization is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS and MS Office applications (Excel required).
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, and change management skills.
  • Union, safety, and workers' compensation experience preferred.
