HiFyve is hiring a CNC Machinist in the manufacturing industry!

Salary: Up to $39/hour

Shift: Flexible schedule

Location: Plymouth or Maple Grove, MN

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Program, set up, and operate 4-axis and 5-axis mill/turn CNC machines to produce high-precision parts.
• Edit existing CNC programs or create new ones with a basic understanding of tooling setups.
• Work in a job shop environment handling a variety of parts (1–30 pieces) for aerospace, microelectronics, and defense industries.
• Ensure all parts meet tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate machining.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Maintain machines and tooling to ensure smooth operation and quality output.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor machining issues; report major problems to maintenance.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proven experience operating 4- and 5-axis mill/turn CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in CNC programming (editing or full programming) and tooling setups.
• Strong ability to work with high precision and tight tolerances.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience in a job shop setting with aerospace, microelectronic, or defense components preferred.
