Position Summary
HiFyve is seeking a hands-on Aerospace Engineer to develop new products and processes in an aerospace environment. A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, Catia experience, and U.S. work eligibility are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new processes, technologies, and products; improve existing ones
- Support and guide R&D Technicians in building test samples, prototypes, and conceptual processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues related to products, equipment, and testing
- Prepare test procedures, plans, and reports; analyze data to draw conclusions and make recommendations
- Interpret and review engineering drawings, test plans, and technical documentation
- Participate in team, company, and customer meetings as required
- Learn and apply knowledge of processes, equipment, and materials for integration into parts or production
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field required
- High school diploma or GED required
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in aerospace engineering or a research & development environment
- Experience with Catia and interpreting engineering drawings
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering concepts, physical/chemical principles, and process integration
- Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic desktop applications
- Familiarity with data acquisition and process control systems
- Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze data and summarize findings effectively
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently or in a team
- U.S. Citizenship or Legal Permanent Residency required (due to military product regulations)
