HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Tech III in the manufacturing industry in St. Joseph, MO!

Salary: $35–$48/hr

Shift: 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM, Monday–Thursday (will train on 1st shift for 4–6 weeks)

Location: St. Joseph, MO

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform emergency and breakdown repairs to support plant operations
• Conduct preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for optimal equipment efficiency
• Lead equipment installations and small projects with adherence to safety protocols
• Independently troubleshoot and repair advanced electrical and electronic systems
• Document maintenance activity using a CMMS system and track spare part usage
• Mentor and support other maintenance team members
• Analyze tasks to determine the safest and most efficient completion methods
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and maintain high-quality work standards
• Maintain a strong focus on workplace safety and hazard mitigation
• Occasionally operate forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and company vehicles as needed

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Advanced knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems and 480/208V circuits
• Strong troubleshooting skills for AC/DC machine controls and pneumatic devices
• Solid understanding of hydraulics and ability to rebuild hydraulic assemblies
• Skilled in precision measurements and shaft alignment
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair air compressors
• Familiarity with CNC controls (e.g., Mitsubishi, Siemens)
• Advanced plumbing knowledge
• Understanding of oils and greases used in manufacturing
• Experience installing production equipment including robots, CNC mills, lathes, and presses
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid operator’s driver’s license
