Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations
Balance and maintain accounting ledgers, prepare, verify, allocate, and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP standards
Confirming tax liability by calculating, preparing, and filing tax returns for individuals and businesses after income, deductions, and credits have been determined
Conduct tax research and provide recommendations for tax planning strategies
Assist clients with tax compliance and reporting requirements
Analyze financial statements and identify potential tax savings opportunities
Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information for tax preparation
Review and interpret financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations
Provide guidance and support to junior staff members
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a senior tax accountant
Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
Proficient in financial analysis, financial report interpretation, and balance sheet reconciliation
Experience with financial services software such as QuickBooks and Lacerte.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to assume full responsibility of task at hand and manage multiple priorities
