How You Will Make an Impact
- Build and enhance cloud-native data pipelines and services used across capital markets and securities teams.
- Contribute to the development of a strategic reference data system for securities, pricing, and future data domains.
- Design and implement ETL/ELT workflows that support high-volume, business-critical data flows.
- Develop APIs and integration components to deliver data to internal consumers and downstream systems.
- Collaborate with architecture, DevOps, and engineering teams to ensure solutions meet performance, reliability, and compliance requirements.
- Apply development standards and best practices to maintain consistency across cloud and data engineering initiatives.
Do You Bring Proven Success in Cloud-Based Data Engineering?
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–7 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
- Advanced experience with Azure cloud services, including Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake Gen2, Azure Functions, and Azure databases.
- Strong SQL expertise working with relational or NoSQL systems.
- Hands-on development experience with Python, specifically building REST APIs (FastAPI or similar).
- Solid understanding of ETL and ELT methodologies.
- Proficiency with Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD workflows.
- Ability to collaborate in a hybrid model, working onsite in New York.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in financial services or exposure to market data, asset classes, or securities reference data.
- Familiarity with Azure Data Fabric or API gateway management.
- Relevant Azure certifications (DP-203, Solutions Architect).
- Experience supporting large-scale cloud modernization efforts.
