HiFyve is hiring a 3rd shift Burn Operator in Riverside, MO.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Burn Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Burn Operator is responsible for operating burning, cutting, and plasma machines to cut and shape metal components according to precise specifications. This role requires a keen eye for detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.

Shift: Monday-Thursday 10pm-6:30am and Friday OT

Pay: $25-$30/Hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate oxy-fuel, plasma, and laser cutting machines to cut metal parts accurately.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure correct specifications.
• Set up and adjust machines for proper material placement, cutting speeds, and torch positioning.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances.
• Maintain and troubleshoot cutting equipment to ensure efficient operation.
• Follow safety procedures when handling gases, flames, and heavy materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
• Assist with material handling, loading, and unloading metal sheets or plates.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve cutting processes and efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience operating burn tables, plasma cutters, or oxy-fuel cutting equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Understanding of metal types, thicknesses, and cutting tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Familiarity with CNC programming or nesting software is a plus.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and proper PPE use.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
