HiFyve is hiring a Mechanical Engineer – Facilities in the High-Tech Manufacturing industry in Wilton, CT!


Salary: Up to $120K + Bonus + Relocation

Shift: Onsite

Location: Wilton, CT


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems, including HVAC, DI water, process water, chillers, boilers, pumps, exhaust systems, and heat exchangers.
  • Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting and maintaining critical facility infrastructure to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Develop and refine preventative and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
  • Design, maintain, and optimize process gas and liquid distribution systems while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Lead mechanical engineering projects from concept to completion, including system expansions, upgrades, and new installations.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely project completion.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards, including OSHA and ASHRAE.
  • Support sustainability initiatives such as energy efficiency improvements and waste reduction strategies.
  • Assess system capacities, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation strategies for system failures.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system designs, performance metrics, maintenance activities, and project updates.


Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is a plus.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 5+ years of experience in facilities engineering with a focus on mechanical systems in a high-tech or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong expertise in HVAC, DI water, process water, chillers, boilers, and heat exchangers.
  • Experience with gas and liquid distribution systems, including piping, valves, and control systems.
  • Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, ASHRAE).
  • Experience in high-tech manufacturing industries such as semiconductor or pharmaceutical is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for project support or troubleshooting.
