Salary: $120K-$140K + 15% Bonus

About the Role

Reports to the Plant Manager and oversees four direct reports (Operations Managers, Maintenance Manager, and Warehouse/Logistics Manager) with approximately 190 indirect employees in a unionized food & beverage manufacturing plant. Responsible for daily operations, production scheduling, maintenance, warehousing/logistics, safety, training, budget/capital projects, and continuous improvement (Lean/CI, KPIs, SQF).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily plant operations to meet or exceed company goals.
• Oversee production scheduling, maintenance, warehousing, and logistics.
• Drive continuous improvement, Lean/CI, TPM, and KPI optimization.
• Ensure compliance with SQF, GMP, FDA, USDA, OSHA, HACCP regulations.
• Recruit, train, and develop employees, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Provide technical expertise and problem-solving support across all plant functions.
• Assist with budgeting and capital projects to enhance efficiency.
• Work Monday-Friday, day shift, with some weekend engagement as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a "hands-on" strong leader with great communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering, Food Science, or related field preferred).
• 5+ years of leadership experience in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Maintenance/TPM background in addition to operations experience preferred.
• Union experience highly preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety, and compliance.
• Ability to mentor, train, and coach team members while driving performance.
