Position Overview The Scheduling Coordinator is a key member of the Coordination Department, responsible for ensuring seamless communication between patients, caregivers, and the internal team. This role serves as the primary point of contact for assigned patients, manages caregiver scheduling, and ensures timely payroll processing. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and dedicated to delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced homecare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and caregivers, providing prompt, courteous, and professional assistance while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
- Coordinate and assign caregivers to open shifts based on availability, qualifications, and patient needs.
- Accurately process payroll for caregivers within the assigned caseload, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Proactively identify, address, and resolve concerns or issues raised by patients, caregivers, or internal staff, escalating when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of schedules, assignments, and communications in the agency’s systems.
- Collaborate with other members of the Coordination team to ensure continuity of care and operational efficiency.
- Support agency initiatives and contribute to process improvements within the Coordination Department.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a home care agency office setting strongly preferred. At least 1 year of customer service experience in an office setting required.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-service mindset.
