HiFyve is hiring a Mechanical Engineer – Facilities in the high-tech semiconductor equipment manufacturing industry in Wilton, CT!


Salary: $105,000 - $130,000+ bonus

Shift: Day Shift

Location: Wilton, CT (relocation assistance available)


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, analyze, and improve mechanical systems such as HVAC, DI water systems, chillers, boilers, and heat exchangers to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting and maintaining critical facilities infrastructure.
  • Develop and refine preventative and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
  • Design and optimize fluid and gas distribution systems for manufacturing processes, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
  • Lead and execute mechanical engineering projects, including expansions, upgrades, and installations.
  • Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards, supporting sustainability initiatives.
  • Assess system capacities, conduct risk assessments, and plan for future growth to meet operational needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of system designs, maintenance activities, and project updates.
  • Monitor system performance metrics, recommending and implementing upgrades or modifications as needed.


Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities engineering, focusing on mechanical systems in high-tech or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong expertise in HVAC, DI water systems, chillers, boilers, and heat exchangers.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent.
  • Deep understanding of gas and liquid distribution systems, including piping, valves, and control mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, ASHRAE).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in high-tech manufacturing, such as semiconductor or pharmaceutical industries.
