Director of Legal Activities

The Director of Legal Activities will oversee all legal, compliance, and regulatory functions for a growing behavioral health organization. This role requires someone detail oriented, organized, and confident in managing legal processes, contracts, policies, and risk management. The Director will collaborate closely with leadership to ensure the organization adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

The ideal candidate will draft and review legal documents, manage internal compliance programs, liaise with external counsel and regulatory agencies, and provide guidance on legal obligations and organizational policies. Experience in healthcare, employment, or corporate law is strongly preferred.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee compliance, contracts, and risk management activities
  • Draft, review, and maintain legal documents and agreements
  • Advise leadership on legal obligations and policies
  • Collaborate with external counsel and regulatory agencies
  • Implement and monitor internal compliance programs
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and ethical standards


Qualifications:

  • J.D. (Attorney) or Paralegal Certification with extensive legal experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in legal or compliance roles preferred
  • Knowledge of healthcare, employment, or corporate law preferred
  • Licensed to practice in New York (if applicable)
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills


Location: Flatbush, Brooklyn, NY

Type: Full time

Salary: $90,000–$170,000/year
