The Billing Manager will oversee and optimize all aspects of ABA billing operations, ensuring accurate claims submission, strong collections performance, and full compliance with Medicaid and commercial payor regulations. This role requires hands on management of the billing cycle while supervising a billing team to maintain productivity and accuracy.
The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of NYS Medicaid billing requirements, understands authorization tracking and compliance, and is comfortable analyzing aging reports to reduce outstanding receivables. Strong systems thinking and the ability to implement process improvements are essential in this growing organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage full cycle ABA billing for Medicaid and commercial payors
• Oversee claims submission, payment posting, and AR follow up
• Supervise billing staff and ensure productivity and accuracy
• Monitor aging reports and reduce outstanding receivables
• Track authorizations and ensure billing compliance
• Collaborate with clinical and operations teams
• Ensure compliance with NYS Medicaid and payor regulations
• Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies
• Assist with audits and financial reporting as needed
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of ABA billing experience required
• Strong knowledge of NY Medicaid billing rules
• Experience with CentralReach required
• Experience with MBH (Medical Billing Helpers) preferred
• Strong AR management and collections background
• Detail oriented, organized, and systems driven
• Leadership experience managing a billing team preferred
