Logistics Driver – Tracy, CA
(primarily driving between Tracy, CA and Newark, CA)
Compensation: $23.25/hour + paid sick leave + optional benefits
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) with occasional overtime and weekend shifts as needed
Hours: M-F: 11:30am - 930pm
Contract: 6+ month assignment with potential for long-term employment
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Logistics Driver to join our team in Tracy, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods between customer sites and operational locations, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining a high standard of professionalism, safety, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport goods between designated customer sites and operational facilities.
- Load, unload, and secure cargo while maintaining accurate delivery records and documentation.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical or safety concerns promptly.
- Comply with all traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies at all times.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic refueling and upkeep duties.
- Plan efficient delivery routes using GPS to ensure on-time arrivals.
- Accurately complete and maintain driving logs, delivery reports, and inspection forms.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers regarding schedules and delivery updates.
- Collaborate with engineering staff and customers on vehicle/system issues when needed.
- Adhere to all company protocols for high-security vehicle assignments.
- Uphold punctuality, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.
- Safely operate vehicles with both automatic and manual transmissions under varying weather and road conditions.
Qualifications

Valid Class C Driver’s License (CDL not required, but must be current and compliant).

Minimum 3 years of professional driving experience with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed.

Able to lift and move 50–100 lbs as required.

Forklift experience preferred (training available).

Basic computer proficiency; experience with SAP, MS Office, or MRS Systems a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to vehicle quality and safety.
- Team-oriented, dependable, and capable of working independently.
- Enthusiasm for innovative mobility technology and luxury vehicles.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to sit and drive for extended periods (up to 10 hours per shift, with breaks).
- Must be comfortable operating in diverse environments, including outdoor and warehouse settings.
- Will occasionally handle heavy objects or work in hazardous conditions, following all safety protocols.
