Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer
Location: Global Technology Center – South Oshkosh, WI (Hybrid; minimum three days onsite)
Schedule: Full-Time | Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 remote)
Pay Range: $60–70/hr
Overview
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and integration of components for heavy-duty and defense vehicles. This role involves hands-on engineering, cross-functional collaboration, and technical leadership to ensure reliable, cost-effective, and innovative solutions. Work will focus on programs such as FMTV A2, MFPR, and HGWS (Hyper Velocity Gun Weapon System).
What You’ll Do
- Perform engineering analysis, design, and re-design of vehicle components and systems.
- Support integration of mobility systems, electrical hydraulics, and chassis/frame components.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to meet program objectives.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely progress and quality deliverables.
- Prepare and review layouts, drawings, specifications, and bills of material.
- Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability.
- Provide technical support during production, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Mentor and guide entry-level engineers, designers, and technicians.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and customer requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of engineering experience.
- Proficiency with Creo, PTC Windchill, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with military combat systems.
- Hands-on knowledge of video signal design and transmission.
- Familiarity with root-cause problem-solving methodologies.
- Experience with electro-mechanical system integration.
- Background in product testing, test labs, or hardware-in-the-loop testing.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
- Experience with data acquisition and post-processing tools.
