Position Overview:
Provide technical and maintenance support to users of complex combat vehicle platforms and fire control systems, with a primary focus on the M109 Family of Vehicles (FoV). This role ensures system readiness on a global basis by delivering expert-level troubleshooting, repairs, and operational support. Acts as the first point of contact for field issues related to operating systems and contributes to technical data collection and reporting.
Key Responsibilities

Field Support: Deliver hands-on technical assistance, troubleshooting, and service for M109 FoV vehicles and systems.

System Readiness: Provide onsite technical support and thorough data reporting to maintain optimal vehicle readiness.

Expert Guidance: Serve as a subject matter expert on vehicle operating systems and fire control technology.

Technical Documentation: Interpret and apply engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals to address and resolve technical issues.

Diagnostics & Repair: Diagnose faults down to component and system level, and perform effective repairs.

Vehicle Testing: Operate and test vehicles and systems to verify mechanical and electronic functionality.
What You Bring
- Experience:
- 4–5 years’ experience troubleshooting and repairing M109 FoV military artillery equipment (required).
- Previous military service is a plus but not required.
- Technical Skills:
- Direct, hands-on experience with M109 FoV systems.
- Strong background in military maintenance standards and technical documentation.
- Solid understanding of both mechanical and electronic systems integration.
- Proven ability to diagnose and isolate faults at assembly and subassembly levels.
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.
- Advanced system-level troubleshooting abilities.
Education & Credentials
Candidates must meet one of the following combinations:
- Associate’s degree plus at least 3 years of specialized, recent experience,
- OR
- Major technical certification plus at least 3 years of specialized, recent experience,
- OR
- High school diploma (or equivalent) plus at least 5 years of specialized, recent experience.
