How You’ll Contribute to Our Partner’s Success:
As the Food Safety and Quality Manager, you’ll lead the QA department and drive company-wide food safety initiatives, regulatory compliance, and operational quality standards. Your role ensures products meet USDA, FDA, HACCP, and internal guidelines while developing a high-performance QA culture.
Quality and Compliance Leadership
- Oversee USDA, FDA, and HACCP record accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Partner with USDA officials and production teams to meet government and customer standards.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce SOPs, SSOPs, HACCP plans, GMPs, and food safety policies.
- Prepare for and coordinate internal, customer, and third-party audits (including GFSI and Animal Welfare).
Operational Oversight and Improvement
- Monitor production schedules and product specs to ensure quality compliance.
- Align QA activities with production, maintenance, safety, and distribution functions.
- Procure and manage QA supplies and inventory with cost control in mind.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Agriculture, or a related manufacturing field.

Experience: 5+ years of QA supervisory experience, preferably in poultry or meat production.

Language Skills: Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred.
Technical Knowledge:
- HACCP, FSMA, GMPs, USDA/FDA compliance
- Familiarity with GFSI audits and food safety legislation
- Understanding of labeling, animal welfare, and USDA processing standards

Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex QA systems.
