As the security lead, you'll be central to shaping the organization’s security governance model and supporting upcoming initiatives set to roll out in the new year.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Lead strategy, design, and configuration for Workday security across all modules
- Implement and maintain role-based, domain, and business process security controls
- Oversee integration and service account security to safeguard data flow across connected systems
- Conduct security reviews, audits, and SoD assessments, recommending and executing improvements
- Guide teams through Workday releases, regression testing, and new functionality
- Create and maintain governance frameworks and security documentation
- Resolve complex security issues, troubleshoot access challenges, and oversee user provisioning
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders in HR, Cybersecurity, integrations, and People Operations
Do You Bring Proven Success in Workday Security Leadership?
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of Workday experience, including 5+ years focused exclusively on security
- Workday Pro Security Certification (required)
- Strong background designing and maintaining RBAC, domain security, and business process security
- Hands-on experience supporting Workday integrations, EIB/feed security, and SSO
- Experience participating in at least one full Workday implementation
- Ability to lead architecture discussions, establish best practices, and assess risk
- Audit, compliance, and SoD analysis experience
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across HR, IT, and technical teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, HR, Computer Science, or a similar field
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to AI-enabled security tools or agent-based security models
- Background in biopharmaceutical or highly regulated industries
- Experience with multiple Workday modules: HCM, Talent, Absence, Recruiting, Learning, etc.
- Familiarity with SOX, HIPAA, GDPR, or similar security frameworks
