We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Team Lead - Underwriting to oversee a team of underwriters, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and company policies while effectively managing risk. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance underwriting, with the ability to review complex applications, implement process improvements, and provide strategic direction to enhance team productivity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor a team of underwriters, ensuring adherence to company underwriting guidelines.
• Evaluate and approve complex or high-risk insurance applications, making informed underwriting decisions.
• Implement process improvements to enhance underwriting efficiency and accuracy.
• Monitor and assess risk exposure, ensuring alignment with company policies.
• Train and develop underwriters to improve performance and decision-making skills.
• Collaborate with internal teams and senior management to align underwriting strategies with business goals.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and underwriting best practices.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in insurance underwriting with a strong understanding of risk assessment.
• Prior experience in a leadership or team management role within underwriting.
• Strong decision-making and analytical skills.
• Ability to coach, train, and mentor team members effectively.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with underwriting software and industry regulations.

Salary: $100K–$120K
