The Night Shift Manager plays a critical leadership role overseeing nightly operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position manages a team of 50–70 employees, ensuring shelves are fully replenished, inventory is stocked accurately, and production is set up for success the next day. The ideal candidate brings a blend of strong operational skills, people management experience, and high emotional intelligence to motivate and support staff during resource-lean night hours.

This role requires hands-on leadership, excellent workflow oversight, and the ability to quickly troubleshoot issues to maintain efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of 50–70 night shift employees in the Overstack Department.
• Ensure all inventory is replenished and ready for the next day’s operations.
• Maintain efficient production flow and resolve delays promptly.
• Serve as the main point of communication for night operations and coordinate with the day shift team for smooth transitions.
• Enforce safety procedures and conduct regular checks to ensure a compliant work environment.
• Oversee equipment functionality and coordinate with maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Track performance, attendance, and productivity; drive continuous improvement.
• Motivate, coach, and mentor team members; maintain a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience in manufacturing, logistics, or production.
• Strong knowledge of production workflows and safety protocols.
• Proven leadership experience managing large teams in high-volume environments.
• Excellent communication skills and strong emotional intelligence.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial machinery is a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to fast-changing needs.

Location: Newark, NJ

Type: Full-time, Night Shift (5 PM–3 AM)

Salary: $140,000–$170,000/year
