How You’ll Contribute to Our Partner’s Success:

As a Processing Plant Maintenance Manager, you will lead the maintenance function across multiple sites, ensuring optimal equipment performance, regulatory compliance, and team development. This role will be critical in driving operational reliability through preventive maintenance programs and strategic planning.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Development: Provide coaching and direction to a multi-level team, including one direct report and numerous indirect reports across two facilities.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a long-term maintenance strategy that aligns with company goals while addressing immediate operational needs.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Oversee a robust Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule and ensure compliance with calibration and routine maintenance requirements.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage departmental budget, inventory, purchase orders, and vendor relationships effectively.
  • Continuous Improvement: Define key performance indicators (KPIs), track metrics, and identify opportunities for process and equipment optimization.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments to support production, ensure quality, and maintain safe operations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain adherence to GMP, HAACP, safety, and environmental standards, while supporting SOP and SSOP development.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Promptly report animal welfare, food safety, and facility-related issues through appropriate channels and systems.


What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of operations or maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment (food industry preferred).
  • Strong technical knowledge of high-speed industrial equipment; experience with ammonia refrigeration and boilers is a plus.
  • Advanced CMMS system proficiency.
  • Demonstrated leadership and performance management skills.
  • Solid understanding of HAACP, GMPs, and regulatory safety practices.
  • Bilingual capability and valid driver’s license (multi-site travel required).
