About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee daily operations in their high-volume, small-package third-party logistics (3PL) fulfillment center. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing warehouse staff, meeting tight shipping deadlines, and ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping small-package orders
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse associates to meet productivity, accuracy, and safety goals
- Monitor workflow to ensure orders are processed within SLA timelines and quality standards
- Coordinate with customer service and account management teams to resolve order or shipping issues quickly
- Oversee inventory control processes, including cycle counts and discrepancy resolution
- Ensure all warehouse equipment is maintained and safe to operate
- Implement and enforce operational policies, safety guidelines, and quality standards
- Assist with process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory, orders, and productivity metrics
- Prepare daily and weekly performance reports for management
Qualifications:
- 1-3+ years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or 3PL fulfillment environment
- Strong background in small-package, high-volume shipping operations (e.g., USPS, UPS, FedEx)
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and shipping software (specifically ShipHero and NetSuite)
- Proven ability to manage and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices
