HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Technician in the chemical manufacturing industry in Detroit, MI!

Pay: $26–$28/hour (0–5 hours of OT/week on average)

Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM to start; transitioning to a 12-hour rotating schedule within 6–12 months

About the Role:

We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician to support daily operations by repairing and maintaining pumps, motors, valves, and facility systems. This is a hands-on role in a chemical manufacturing environment that requires flexibility as the shift will transition to a 12-hour rotation after the initial training period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and systems
• Perform preventive maintenance and support equipment installations
• Assist with facility repairs (lighting, plumbing, general upkeep)
• Work safely around chemicals like chlorine and ferric chloride
• Support plant startups, shutdowns, and emergency maintenance

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED
• 0–5 years of maintenance or mechanical experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Comfortable lifting 50 lbs and working at heights
• Positive attitude, willing to learn, and flexible availability
• PIT/manlift experience a plus
