Field Service Mechanic (Aerial Equipment)

St. Catharine's, ON

We’re looking for a Field Service Mechanic to handle repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance on aerial equipment including boom lifts, scissor lifts, telehandlers, and platforms. You’ll be out in the field for customer calls, and when things slow down (or in the winter), you’ll be based out of the St. Catharine's shop.

This is a Monday–Friday role, 8–4 (roughly 40–44 hours/week) with occasional early starts like 7–3. No overnight travel, and very limited OT.

You’ll be driving a fully equipped service van that goes home with you, stocked with tools and parts so you can get the job done without running back and forth.

What the day looks like

  • Traveling to customer sites for service and repairs
  • Diagnosing hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues
  • Performing inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs
  • Calibrating and adjusting equipment as needed
  • Completing service reports and documenting work clearly
  • Managing parts used on the truck and keeping inventory tight

What we’re looking for

  • Solid background in construction, heavy, or ag equipment mechanics
  • Strong hands-on experience with hydraulics + electrical troubleshooting
  • Ability to read diagrams and figure things out in the field
  • Clean, professional approach when dealing with customers
  • Organized, independent, and able to manage your own workload

421A ticket is not required—experience is what matters here.

What’s in it for you

  • $38–$47/hr, based on experience
  • Full benefits package (health, dental, vision, disability, life)
  • Company pension plan
  • Paid time off
  • Uniforms + company cell phone + tablet
  • Gas card
  • Company vehicle (fully equipped mobile unit, van goes home with you)
  • Ongoing training and room to grow
  • Strong, respectful team culture with approachable management

This is a stable, well-run operation supporting its own branded aerial equipment line through a strong distribution network. The team is known for being straightforward, supportive, and easy to work with.

If you want a road tech role where you’re trusted to do your job, not micromanaged, this one fits.
