HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Technician in the Manufacturing industry!

Salary: $28-31/hr

Shift: Wed–Sat 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM

Location: St. Paul, MN

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing and industrial laundry equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery including washers, dryers, belt systems, steam tunnels, presses, conveyors, motors, drives, gearboxes, bearings, belts, pumps, valves, and control systems
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance (mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical)
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments to assess equipment functionality and diagnose issues
  • Interpret schematics and mechanical drawings to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems effectively
  • Conduct stick and MIG welding tasks as needed for repairs or modifications
  • Assist with installation, upgrades, and improvement projects
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections; communicate clearly with production teams
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency and minimize downtime
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Technical training or certifications in industrial maintenance preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or similar role within a manufacturing facility
  • 2+ years industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience (machine shop, food processing, packaging, mechanical repair, etc.)
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various tools and equipment
  • Skilled in mechanical troubleshooting, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding/fabrication, and equipment repair
  • Familiarity with industrial electrician duties preferred (basic electrical up to 480V a plus)
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and equipment manuals
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with technical sales is a plus, enabling effective communication of technical information
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
