What You’ll Do-Metallurgical Engineer
- Support and improve manufacturing processes and product quality within the Sheet department
- Investigate and resolve quality and process issues
- Evaluate and develop products, processes, and equipment based on customer requirements
- Ensure process control and standard procedures are followed
- Partner with operations, shift leaders, and production teams to drive performance
Note: Off-shift or weekend support may be required in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
What You Need-Metallurgical Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering
- 1+ year of experience or relevant internship
- Must be a U.S. person (ITAR requirement) and authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Experience-Metallurgical Engineer
- 4+ years in metallurgical or manufacturing environments
- Experience with quality systems (IATF16949, AS9100)
- Knowledge of metallurgy principles, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and material processing
- Lean manufacturing and statistical analysis experience
- Background in metals or aluminum production
