Metallurgical Technician

Location: Alcoa, TN (near Knoxville)

What You’ll Do

• Perform on-the-floor quality testing and monitor production processes
• Troubleshoot systems and support repairs with internal teams and vendors
• Ensure product quality, traceability, and compliance with standards
• Analyze data to drive process improvements and cost reduction
• Lead problem-solving efforts and implement corrective actions
• Support and audit quality systems and procedures
• Maintain records and documentation to meet customer and corporate requirements
• Assist with APQP tools (FMEA, control plans) and continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve quality, efficiency, and plant performance
• Promote safety and EHS standards

What You Need

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years in a technical or manufacturing support role
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work off-shifts and weekends

Preferred

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
• 4+ years of related experience
• Experience in rolling, heat treatment, or aluminum sheet operations
• Familiarity with SAP, Excel, and Lean/ABS principles
• Automotive or manufacturing quality experience
