Salary:Minimum: $42.43 | Maximum: $43.10

Bonus:5.00 %


JOB DESCRIPTION-Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

 The Instrumentation and Electrical Technician will perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks as well as troubleshooting and corrective actions on Process Control Technician (PCT) equipment (PCT instruments/electrical equipment/analyzer systems etc.) following all relevant standards and procedures to ensure safe and reliable production. These are union positions in ICWU-C Local 566-C and have a 90-day probationary period per the labor agreement. The Instrumentation and Electrical Technician hourly wage rate has been set per the negotiated labor agreement.


Major Tasks and Responsibilities: Electrical and Instrumentation Technician


  • Follow all safety and operational procedures to get each maintenance job done safely and in line with company and government regulations.
  • Complete assigned preventive and predictive maintenance tasks (PCT/PAT) on time and according to schedule.
  • Troubleshoot and repair PCT/PAT equipment quickly and effectively to keep operations safe and reliable.
  • Communicate with supervisors, planners, engineers, and production teams about maintenance progress and any issues found — share ideas and experiences to help improve processes.
  • Stay current on required training and safety activities.
  • Take on corrective maintenance tasks during your shift as needed to support smooth operations.
  • Keep tools in good working condition and handle them properly.
  • Document your work — prepare and submit maintenance reports after each job and keep maintenance records up to date.


Basic Qualifications:


High school diploma or vocational school in electrical and instrumentation and/or relevant work experience with electrical and instrumentation

Successful completion of the site’s written and practical assessments


Knowledge and Skills:


Ability to work overtime is required

Ability to work self-directed on the back shifts and weekends

Required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check

Required to train, qualify and respond as a member of the Emergency Response Team.

Employees in safety critical positions, such as the Emergency Response Team members, are subject to random drug screening


CANDIDATE MUST HAVE VERIFICATION


  1.  High School diploma
