Title: Director of Emergency Services Department

We’re looking for a results-driven, high-energy Director of Emergency Services to lead a busy 28-bed Emergency Department within a 300+ bed full-service facility serving the West Houston community.
You’ll join a leadership team that’s passionate about excellence in patient care and employee engagement, and work with top-tier clinical professionals to deliver exceptional emergency services in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive operational excellence, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
- Lead department strategy, development, and resource management
- Foster a culture of high performance and accountability
- Coach and develop immediate subordinates with ongoing performance feedback
- Enforce ED care standards and build metrics for quality compliance
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and support patient satisfaction initiatives
- Monitor clinical outcomes and lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Oversee 60+ FTEs in a high-volume ED averaging 130–150 patients/day
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- Master’s degree preferred (Nursing, Healthcare Admin, or Business)
- Active RN license (compact or TX) required
- Minimum 2 years of RECENT Director-level ED experience OR 3–5 years as an ED Manager
- ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and BLS certifications required
- Proven leadership in high-volume, acute care ED settings
