Lead a High-Impact Emergency Department in a Dynamic, High-Volume Acute Care Setting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership of a high-volume emergency department (50k+ annual visits)
  • Lead performance improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes and patient experience
  • Ensure continuous compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Mentor, coach, and develop department leaders and staff to foster a culture of excellence and engagement
  • Collaborate across departments to improve workflows and ensure safe, efficient care delivery
  • Oversee staffing, resource allocation, and budget management to support operational excellence
  • Support recruitment efforts and build high-performing, patient-focused teams
  • Promote evidence-based practices and drive clinical innovation
  • Serve as a key contributor in organizational planning, committees, and emergency response readiness


Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of recent Director or Manager-level leadership in an acute care emergency department
  • Experience managing an ED with 50k+ annual visits; Level I or II trauma exposure strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred
  • Current RN license (must meet state eligibility requirements)
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS or ENPC certifications required


Team & Structure:

  • 37-bed Adult Main ED | ~182 patients/day
  • Direct leadership over 2 ED Managers, 5 Clinical Nurse Coordinators, and 85 core staff FTEs
  • Reports to VP of Emergency Services
