Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)


Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing both routine and complex care in a clinical setting, demonstrating an independent and comprehensive approach to patient care. The RN must be capable of managing long-term goals, handling contingencies in nursing practice, and making appropriate assignments and delegations to other care providers to support clinical operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet expectations based on the nursing competency model, including self-leadership, leadership of others, or leadership of teams.
  • Deliver nursing care in accordance with established standards, utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for all assigned patients.
  • Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families, while remaining within the scope of nursing practice.
  • Administer medications and treatments per protocols, monitor patients for side effects, and assess the effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
  • Accurately document patient history, symptoms, medications, and the care provided.
  • Assess patient learning needs and provide appropriate education to patients, family members, and caregivers. Identify resources and support as necessary.


Job Requirements:


Education and Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment or compact nursing license.
