Vertical Recruitment have an interesting opportunity for an Electrical Director to join an award-winning, employee-owned multidisciplinary consultancy in Liverpool. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will drive business growth, lead high-profile projects, and shape the strategic direction of the electrical division.

The Role - As an Electrical Director, you will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of high-quality electrical services design across all project stages while actively contributing to business development and company growth. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and delivering high-quality electrical design packages across all project stages.
  • Contributing to resource management and planning, ensuring optimal project efficiency.
  • Leading business development activities, identifying opportunities, and securing new work.
  • Representing the company at an executive level, engaging with stakeholders and the professional network.
  • Supporting the board of directors with regional business growth and technical development.
  • Providing leadership and mentorship, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Identifying and driving opportunities for further professional development within the company.


About You

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar leadership role within the building services industry.
  • A strong understanding of commercial and technical management of service delivery.
  • Excellent people management and communication skills.
  • A deep understanding of current and emerging market trends in electrical design and building services.
  • A degree-level qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services (or equivalent).
  • Chartered status with the Engineering Council or equivalent.
  • Full membership of a relevant professional institution (CIBSE, IET, or equivalent).
  • A genuine passion for the built environment, innovation, and sustainable design.
