Senior Electrical Engineer – Manchester

A successful and independently owned building services consultancy is continuing to expand its presence in Manchester – and they’re looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to play a key role in that growth.

This is a unique opportunity to step into a senior-level role with the autonomy to lead your own projects and manage your own workload. You’ll be joining a small but growing team, working closely with an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer across a variety of commercial, logistics and industrial schemes – current projects include a major distribution centre and a shopping centre.

• £60,000 - £70,000 salary depending on experience
• Mainly home working – just 1–2 days in the office every fortnight

Role highlights:

• Take the lead on projects
• Work across all RIBA stages, including concept and detailed design
• Attend and contribute to client/design team meetings
• Site inspections and reporting
• Client facing role, collaborating with different offices

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years’ experience in an MEP design consultancy environment
• Confident in lighting and electrical design software such as Dialux, Relux, and Amtech
• Competent in AutoCAD and Revit
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of your projects
• Degree-qualified in Building Services Engineering or a related subject
• Working towards Chartership (or already Chartered)
• Comfortable being client-facing and happy to work collaboratively
