Senior Structural Engineer

Vertical Recruitment is working with a highly regarded civil and structural engineering consultancy in Manchester that’s expanding its city centre Structural team due to a strong pipeline of new projects. They’re well known for their involvement in major Manchester developments, including high-rise and heritage projects, they collaborate closely with leading contractors across the UK.

The Role - As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in technical development, project delivery, and commercial success. Working alongside associates and directors, your responsibilities will include:

Technical Development

• Leading the technical analysis and design process, ensuring high-quality engineering solutions.
• Producing and coordinating structural information at all project stages, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
• Collaborating with senior leadership to develop lean design solutions that maximise value for clients.
• Maintaining a high level of Continued Professional Development (CPD) and contributing to technical papers and industry engagement, with full support from the company.

Project Delivery & Management

• Supporting the technical delivery of projects, ensuring design quality and efficiency.
• Managing client and stakeholder relationships to ensure seamless project execution.
• Assisting with the programme and financial aspects of projects in line with company Quality Assurance policies.

Commercial & Client Focus

• Supporting project leaders in the management of project performance, ensuring successful delivery.
• Building and maintaining strong client and industry relationships to support business growth.
• Seeking new opportunities to expand the company’s portfolio and secure future work.
