Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000 (DOE) + Performance-Based Bonuses

We are a boutique CPA and advisory firm that partners with small and mid-sized businesses nationwide. As our team continues to expand, we are adding a Fully Remote Accounting Supervisor to support our Accounting Manager and oversee the day-to-day accounting work delivered by our team.

This role is ideal for an Accounting Supervisor or Senior Accountant with a strong public accounting background who enjoys hands-on technical work while also leading, mentoring, and supporting client engagements. Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Gusto is required.

About the Role:

The Accounting Supervisor reports directly to the Accounting Manager and plays a key role in managing daily execution and quality control. You will remain hands-on while supervising and reviewing the work of junior accountants and bookkeepers, helping ensure consistent, high-quality accounting services in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, review, and support day-to-day accounting work performed by junior accountants and bookkeepers.
• Review monthly and quarterly financials, reconciliations, and close activities.
• Support payroll processing, payroll setup, and payroll tax filings using Gusto.
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and ongoing feedback to junior team members.
• Partner with the Accounting Manager to manage workflow, deadlines, and priorities.
• Assist with resolving accounting issues, client questions, and compliance matters.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of public accounting experience required.
• At least 1 year of supervisory, senior, or review experience.
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online (QBO) required.
• Hands-on experience with Gusto required.
• Solid understanding of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and payroll processes.
• Experience supervising or reviewing the work of junior team members.
• Strong communication and organizational skills in a remote environment.
• CPA or EA is a plus, but not required.
